On a daily basis, the County of Los Angeles Fire Department handles in excess of 780 calls for service per day throughout the County. Although the majority of these responses are medical related calls, there are still a fair amount of responses that contain dramatic real life stories, which have been documented in the following pages.

These photographs and videos are utilized in many ways throughout the Department. Many times, these photographs and videos are incorporated into training materials and special reports in an effort to more clearly illustrate the importance of not only personal safety, but also the safety of everyone involved. This information, in turn, is shared with fire departments and safety agencies throughout the world.
