About 24 children and a few adolescents attended the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” event.
Enrollment in the Junior Lifeguard Program has increased dramatically over the past few years, and this year’s program is on track to sign up a record number of participants.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed May 26 as “Connectivity to Productivity Day,” April 27 as “Denim Day” and April 24 – 30 as “National Reentry Week.”
At approximately 8:08 AM The Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 24 received a report of a vehicle in the submerged in the Palmdale Aqueduct. LACoFD Lifeguard’s Dive1 was activated to assist. LA County Lifeguard Dive Team members RON with LA County Air Ops to expedite response. Once on-scene Lifeguard Dive Team members assisted LA County Fire and Sheriff resources with locating and removing the vehicle. No patients were found and the vehicle was removed from the water.
