On the sunny afternoon of Friday, March 31, 2017, friends and family gathered at Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Camp 2 in La Cañada, Flintridge, to honor and celebrate the 13 new graduates of the Fire Suppression Aid (FSA) Academy.

Fire Chief Daryl Osby officially welcomed Class 75 to the Department, and shared his memories of developing a quick and sincere appreciation for the hard-working FSA crews on his first assignment as a firefighter in Malibu in the 1980s.

Class Valedictorian, Fire Suppression Aid Ryan Olson inspired the crowd and his comrades admonishing them to “Always work as a team, always stay humble, but most important, always stay safe.”
