On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors presented California Task Force 2 team members
deployed to Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria with a scroll presentation.
“As Puerto Rico continues to recover, the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors is proud to recognize the valiant efforts of our Los Angeles County Fire Department Task Force 2 team members for assisting with rescue and relief efforts…” said Supervisor Hilda Solis.
California Task Force 2 arrived in Puerto Rico on Sunday, September 25 and assisted FEMA with much needed support. Team members
assisted with both water and land-based rescues, and conducted over 20 emergency operation centers assessments throughout Puerto Rico
during their four-day deployment.
