The California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee (Cal-JAC) honored both the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Local 1014 with the Partners in Success award at its 14th Biennial Conference at the Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage on Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Fire Chief Daryl Osby and Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014 President Dave Gillotte communicated the pride they feel in the work done collaboratively with labor and management representatives to help deliver world-class training for personnel and in recruiting an increasingly diverse workforce that reflects the community of Los Angeles County.
“It’s very exciting for me as the fire chief of the Los Angeles County Fire Department that we’re being recognized for the Cal-JAC’s Partnership for Success award. It says that the work we’re doing is being recognized and its noticed. And I know for myself individually, and for Dave individually, we put in a lot of work as it relates to the administration of this Department. We do it for the safety and the welfare of our employees,” said Osby.
