On Friday, December 21, Fire Chief Daryl Osby of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) accepted a $25,000 donation on behalf of the Los Angeles County Fire Department Foundation from David Delrahim, Chief Executive Officer of Platinum Energy.
Delrahim thanked the Department for protecting the community during the Woolsey Fire: “If it was not for the bravery of our first responders, the devastation would have been exponentially bigger. Our community salutes the men and women of the LA County Fire Department as well as so many other fire agencies who responded.”
The check ceremony took place at the Cecil R. Gehr Training Center at LACoFD headquarters.
The generous donation will ultimately benefit the Foundation’s many public safety education programs and services.
“The Foundation has expanded our vision and mission to not only support the educational efforts of the Fire Department but to support many of the underfunded or non-funded programs that the Department would like to produce to benefit the community” said Jim Kross, President of the LACoFD Foundation.
