Congratulations to the 17 employees of the Los Angeles County Fire Department whom successfully completed the eight-session Administrative Professionals Program (APP) Cohort B. The program began May 1 and ended on May 29, 2018 at Department headquarters.
The participants of Cohort B were given the opportunity to enhance their expertise in business writing and grammar, and Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). They also engaged in lively group discussions and activities to build a strong rapport with fellow coworkers.
The APP strives to provide a strong foundation of business skills and knowledge of the Department’s processes to secretaries, administrative assistants and staff assistants.
APP Cohort C began on June 5, with more cohorts to follow.
