Across the County, all Los Angeles County Fire Department stations rolled up their doors to host “Fire Service Day” for the public on Saturday, May 13. However, each region hosted its own Fire Service Day events for three consecutive Saturdays in May which kicked off on May 6.
Fire stations welcomed families to get a behind-the-scenes look at where firefighters live and work, while children had the opportunity to see the bright red fire equipment up close. The community also had a chance to learn about CPR Anytime training, watch demonstrations on life-saving procedures as well as meet their local firefighters.
Fire Station 129 held its 20th annual North Regional Operations Bureau Fire Service Day event on Saturday, May 6, followed by the East Regional Operations Bureau Fire Service Day which took place on Saturday, May 13 at the East LA Civic Center .
There is still one more opportunity to catch the Central Regional Operations Bureau Fire Service Day on Saturday, May 20 at Fire Station 89 in Agoura Hills (29575 Canwood Street) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
