On April 10, 2018, members of Girl Scout Troop 1229 of San Gorgonio surprised Division 8 Headquarters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) in Pomona with a delicious donation of Girl Scout cookies.

During their annual cookie sale, troops take donations for boxes of cookies through the Girl Scouts’  I CARE program. This year, 100,000 boxes of cookies were distributed through the program nationwide. Troops give the cookies to local first responders, food banks, and shelters to show how much they care for people in their community.

Troop 1229 made their delivery to LACoFD Division 8 Headquarters, Fire Stations 182 and 188, and to the Fire Prevention Office. This was the first time they have received cookies from the troops, and they were elated.

The Department thanks Troop 1229 for caring and the joy they brought to our personnel.
