On Saturday, September 15, over 500 residents attended the annual Hermosa Heroes Pancake Breakfast hosted by the City of Hermosa Beach and the Hermosa Valley & View Parent Teacher Organization at Fire Station 100. The breakfast honored Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) fire personnel and Lifeguard Division as well as the Hermosa Beach Police Department for their constant protection and support in the community.

Hermosa City Councilmembers, teachers, and parents volunteered to cook and serve hot breakfast to first responders and community members. There were educational booths set up which allowed residents to interact with firefighters and lifeguards, and learn about the resources and programs the Department provides. There were several fire apparatus on display for everyone to explore and take photos.

The pancake breakfast was a charitable event. All proceeds benefited the Hermosa Valley & View Parent Teacher Organization.
