LACoFD Firefighters Honored at Bellflower’s B.R.A.V.O. Awards 150 150 Adam Carrillo

Members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) gathered at the William and Jane Bristol Civic Auditorium to be recognized for their dedicated service at the 26th Annual City of Bellflower’s BRAVO Awards luncheon on Thursday, February 6, 2020.  BRAVO stands for Bellflower Recognizes Acts of Valor and Outstanding service.

On December 22, 2019, team members from Fire Station 98 responded to a 9-1-1 call and found a 60-year old patient who was complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath.

They used all means possible to save his life as his heart rate dropped dangerously low.  Once paramedics arrived at the hospital, the patient was admitted for further advanced medical care.

Fortunately, the patient had survived and was on his way to a full recovery.

The professional and timely response from team members at Fire Station 98 have been credited for his survival.  Congratulations to Fire Captain Dan Murchison, Fire Fighter Specialist Ronald Kusumi, Fire Fighter Paramedic Adam Dominguez, Fire Fighter Paramedic Jeffrey Poster and Fire Fighter Paramedic Jason Young for their well-deserved recognition!
