LACoFD and LAFD Honor Guards with Actor Gary Sinise.

Los Angeles County and City Fire Guards paid special tribute to Actor, Director Gary Sinise on the occasion of his receiving the 2,606th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, April 17, 2017. Actors Patricia Heaton and Joe Mantegna as well as Air Force General Robin Rand were in attendance to help unveil the new star on Hollywood Boulevard.

Known both for his award-winning portrayal of Lieutenant Dan Taylor in the Oscar-winning film “Forrest Gump” and his endless work on behalf of those who’ve served, Sinise is the first actor to ever request Honor Guards at their Walk of Fame ceremony.

“Gary Sinise makes sure the world remembers the active duty men and women and their service to the country! His memorable roles and continued advocacy mission make his star shine so bright!” said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
