On Saturday, April 28, employees from various County departments participated in the annual March for Babies walk at Exposition Park in Los Angeles.
The annual walk raises funds for the March of Dimes which provides programs, services and support to improve the health of mothers and babies in our community.
This year marks 34 years of the County’s fundraising efforts for the March of Dimes. Each year for the past two years, dedicated County employees have voluntarily raised over $300,000 for the organization.
In 2017, the Los Angeles County Fire Department alone raised $23,803, placing it third among participating departments. The Department hopes to exceed $30,000 in its fundraising efforts this year.
