Supporting Our Fire Family

The safety, mental health, and well-being of our workforce has always been a priority for me and the Executive Team. Nationally, there has been a noticeable spike in the number of first responders dying by suicide. In fact, in 2017, the total number of suicides for firefighters and police officers surpassed the total number of those who died in the line of duty (including being shot, stabbed, drowning or dying in a car accident while on the job).
