Firefighters Honor Fallen Pomona Police Officer

Pomona Police Officer Greggory Casillas Funeral and Procession

On Thursday, March 22, 2018, the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) attended the funeral and procession of fallen Officer Greggory Casillas of the Pomona Police Department (PPD). Officer Casillas passed away in the line of duty on Friday, March 9, 2018.

During the procession, LACoFD displayed Garrison Flags at the intersection of Park Avenue and Mission Boulevard in Pomona, and Forest Lawn Covina Hills, in honor of Officer Casillas. The Department grieves the loss of Officer Casillas.

Officer Casillas started as a member of the PPD in March 2015. Two years later he was hired as a recruit, and after several months he was sworn in as a Pomona Police Officer.

LACoFD has and will continue to provide ongoing support to the PPD and the Casillas family.
