On Friday, September 23, 2022, Chief Sergio Ramirez, Coordinator of the Civil Protection and Fire Departments of Guadalajara and Zapopan, Mexico, visited and met with Interim Fire Chief Anthony Marrone and Department staff.

In addition to his regular duties, Chief Ramirez is also the president of the Mexican Fire Chief’s Association and is working on a national accreditation project for chief officers in Mexico.

Chief Ramirez is paying visits to several agencies and seeking advice from fire departments throughout the United States to help achieve his project goals.
