The Los Angeles County Fire Museum Board of Directors hosted the County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) Family Support Group (FSG) and Fire Hogs Motorcycle Club for a holiday luncheon with Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Fire Museum in Bellflower.

Fire Chief Marrone welcomed the FSG as well as the Fire Hogs Motorcycle Club who graciously presented a $18,000 check to the County of Los Angeles Firefighters’ Memorial Committee’s Widows and Orphans Fund which provides college scholarships to the children of LACoFD fallen firefighters. The funding was made available thanks to the generosity of everyone who participated in the Fire Hogs Motorcycle Club 7th Annual Memorial Ride held earlier this year.

Chief Marrone presented Certificates of Appreciation to the Fire Hogs Motorcycle Club and Fire Museum for their compassion and care extended to the Family Support Group and Firefighters’ Memorial Committee throughout the years.

For nearly 40 years, the FSG has provided a safe space and been a source of support to those who have lost their firefighting spouses and partners on the job (line of duty and active duty passing).

The LACoFD truly appreciates our FSG coordinators and members for always being there to provide comfort, care, and guidance to others when they need it the most.
