LACoFD Wins Cardiac Arrest Survival Video Contest

LACoFD Wins Cardiac Arrest Survival Video Contest 150 150 Adam Carrillo

The Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau’s video,“Can’t Stop Compressing”, won the 2019 Cardiac Arrest Survival Video Contest, co-sponsored by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation and the Citizen CPR Foundation. The award was announced at the Cardiac Arrest Survival Summit in Seattle, Washington on Friday, December 13.

For winning the contest, the Department was rewarded with an automated external defibrillator (AED) courtesy of Enerspect Medical Solutions.

The annual summit allows medical professionals to share current scientific research and life-saving strategies that all people can use to enhance the survival rate of those who suffer from sudden cardiac arrest.
