On Thursday evening, September 26, 2019, the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s (LACoFD) Division IV personnel participated in a “Tip a Firefighter” fundraiser night at Chili’s restaurant in La Habra to benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Each year since 2007, the restaurant chain commits to raising 30 million dollars to sponsor the St. Jude School Program by Chili’s which helps patients continue their education while receiving treatment.
LACoFD Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Errett and firefighters from Fire Stations 191, 192, 193 and 194 each served customers at Chili’s for tips to be donated to the research hospital. This is the first “Tip a Firefighter” fundraiser that the La Habra location has hosted; the dedicated first responders helped raise $1,300.
